Anti-spam issue in AVG 9.0.697

Due to a issue caused by Mailshell (Anti-Spam component), users of AVG Internet Security 9.0 build 697 can experience troubles with AVG.

This issue causes Emails Scanner and AVG Watchdog process components to terminate. If the Watchdog is terminated more than once in ten seconds, it will not start again. This unfortunately means that some other components of AVG will not be able to work normally (mainly – AVG will not be able to update).

AVG are currently waiting for Mailshell (supplier of Anti-Spam) to fix this issue. As a quick workaround, users of AVG can reinstall older version of AVG – build 9.0.664.

Note : AVGwatchdog is one of the avg process running background to make the program work.
