AVG 9.0 Disabling Window Defender
Oct 26, 2009AVG 9 is disabling Widows Defender per recommendation by Microsoft and there is no conflict between both application but unnecessary system load. It makes sense, because AVG offers duplicate functionality, so Windows Defender doesn’t complement your security level further. It only contributes to the system load. Furthermore, if you’re installing MS Security Essentials, it makes the same – deactivates Widows Defender due to the same reason – duplicate functionality. However, a there’s no problem if you want to use both AVG and Windows Defender simultaneously. If you insist on using window defender, you can re-enable it back. The only difference would be after enabling both security application it’s slow down slightly on system performance.
