AVG Email Scaner Inactive
May 04, 2010If you look at your AVG user interface and AVG E-mail Scanner Component is inactive, you can proceed as below to rectify the issue.
At first restart your computer. If the situation remains the same even after the computer restart, try to activate the AVG E-mail scanner component this way:
- From menu Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> choose the “Services” option.
Note: You can also choose Start -> Run… -> enter “services.msc” string (without quotation marks) and press the “OK” button.
- Please, find the “AVG8 or 9 E-mail scanner” service in the list of all services, which are available in your system.
- Click on it with the right mouse button and choose “Start”.
- It should be working now.
