Uninstalling Avg Free

Below are the steps of removing AVG FREE version.

- Click “Start” -> “Control Panel” -> “Add/Remove Programs”
- Select “AVG Free” and uninstall the application and restart the computer.

If AVG Free is not listed in the Add/Remove program, you can removing it using AVG dedicated remover tool as below:

- Download the AVG service utility from this location to your computer  and run it. Detailed information will be displayed on your screen:

32-Bit Operating System

Note : I would recommend you to launch the remover in safe mode. (It is better this way as AVG services is not running)

- Start tapping the F8 key on your key board. ( Safe mode on your operating system )
- Ensure that the “Safe mode ” is selected.
- Please log in under adminstrative account.

-Launh the setup file and restart your computer and remove the following folders  (ensure that “Show hidden files” function under Windows Folder option is enabled*):

Windows XP/2000

C:\Program Files\AVG
C:\Documents and settings\All users\Application data\AVG8

Windows Vista

C:\Program Files\AVG
C:\ProgramData\AVG9

Windows 7

C:\Program Files\AVG
C:\ProgramData\AVG9
