Atapi.sys Infected

Hi if your computer “atapi.sys” driver is infected by some rootkit infection, you can proceed as below step by step to resolved the issue.

1.  Browse to the following folder:
C:WindowsSystem32

2. Create a copy of the file “atapi.sys” within the same folder (name the copy as “atapi_new.sys”)

3. Download the “Registry_Modify.zip” and extract the contents to your Desktop
- Double-click on the registry folder and run the “RUN_FIRST.reg” file and click “Yes” on the prompt
- Restart your computer

4. Browse to the following folder:
C:WindowsSystem32

- Delete the file “atapi.sys”
- Rename the file “atapi_new.sys” to “atapi.sys”

5. Open the folder that was extracted to your Desktop on Step 3.
- Run the file “RUN_SECOND.reg”
- Restart your computer.
